New books on Digital Humanities

Computer techniques are more and more integrated within humanities research. With these applications and techniques, new forms of research are possible. The Digital Humanities Coursebook by Johanna Drucker provides an introduction of tools and platforms. Topics include: GIS/mapping, data visualization and data mining/analyses. Another recent publication is a practical work on data analyses and Python for students. Written, among others, by Folgert Karsdorp (Meertens Institute). See also this Dutch article on the book. It will be available soon at our library.
