The British Library has -after seven years- almost completed their project of making the Topographical Collection of King George III online available. The project contains 40.000 worldwide drawn and printed maps, dated between 1500 and 1824. Almost half of the collection can now be viewed via the British Library’s digital Flickr Commons collection.
"It is an important resource for the study of how Britain viewed and interacted with the wider world during this period" (Source)
