The Cold War (Routledge Resources)
With the current rise in geopolitical tensions, the media is quick to draw parallels to the Cold War era (1945–1991). However, to fully grasp contemporary comparisons, it is essential to understand the initial Cold War era—what it was, which countries and individuals were involved, how it unfolded, and how it came to an end.
The library has recently subscribed to The Cold War (Routledge Resources Online), which contains 300 peer-reviewed entries on core topics of the Cold War. It is developed and curated by General Editor Ruud van Dijk (UvA) and a global team of expert editors. This resource is a fundamental starting point for understanding the various aspects of the Cold War and for discovering relevant literature and sources within this field.
