Finding, accessing and making digital literature
1. Finding digital content in CataloguePlus
- Go to uba.uva.nl
- Type in a word of words in the search box, for instance: "Dutch Golden Age"
- Click on ENTER or the Search symbol
- Select on the right side of your screen: Tweak your results > Availability > available online
You will now see al the (full text) digital content that we have based on your search terms..
2. Accessing the content from home
If you have installed VPN on your PC you will always have access to our digital collection without having to login.
Another option is to click on the Available Online-link of a book or article in our CataloguePlus.
You will then get the login option of the UvA. Fill it in and it will give you access to the specific online book, journal or article.
If you want to share the link of the online book or article, click on the permalink option. This is the stable URL that will always lead you to this webpage.
3. The book is not online available at the UvA

3. The book is not online available at the UvA
Send me a request via e-mail and I will try to find a digital version. E-books for education purposes have a priority now. The online books are usually accessible at CatalogusPlus within the week.
4. Scanning content and sharing it
It is possible to scan part of a paper book or an article and share it on Canvas with -for instance- students. Because of copyrights you will have to apply the regulations under Dutch law.
We have a specific copyright page with information on the topic.
5. Guides on information literacy
We have several video's on information literacy: from finding e-books, e-journals, citations to saving the information, Lexis Uni and Google Scholar.
