Interlibrary loan video
Looking for a book or article that is not available at the UvA? Via interlibrary loan (ILL) you can order them from other libraries. We have made a short video on how this works.
After you have requested a paper book from another Dutch university, the item will usually be send to the UvA library witin a week. Due to shortage of staff in library buildings it could take a little longer. Therefore no costs are charged for this service to UvA students or staff.
Sometimes an ILL request is rejected. I have written a blogpost on reasons why this could happen and what you can do to still view the item.
